Kitsap Meet 2010 Convoy!

wewt! alright guys, the kitsap meet is only a few weekends away, so i figured i’d make this convoy official!

What: Kitsap Meet 2010 Convoy!!!!!
Where: South Bound Rest Area just to the south of exit 208
When: 7:30, Roll out by 7:45 to catch the 8:40AM ferry in kingston, and show up in bremerton around 9:45ish.
Who: anybody!

Abbitt Wilkerson at Judgement Day – Formula Drift

Abbitt Wilkerson, Yoshi Shindo, and Matt Galantoumini hit Irwindale CA for Formula Drift’s final round, Judgement Day. Althought I wasn’t able to make it, good friends from the northwest hit i5 and rocked L.A. Wilkerson cut together a short, in my opinion one of his best cuts. The season is already over for most, a few will be at ProAm Nationals. Get ready for the rainy season, it’s time for another year of the northwests finest builds. Watch out for 2010!

Final Round @ Evergreen Drift

In the last month or so I’ve lost contact with a few good individuals here in the northwest. Last week I featured Abbitt Wilkerson’s Round 3 video, and now I just found Justin’s Round 4. I have to give him props for making his way up from Oregon to shoot this video.

Justin Shreeve Films presents Evergreen Drift Round 4. The final round saw a lot of upsets as some drivers weren’t able to attend and others were plagued with car troubles. Overall, it was an exciting day, making for lots of good footage.

Everytime I see video of our local drivers in Pacific Northwest, I keep thinking why don’t we have these guys performing at a professional level? Our talent pool is a hidden pocket tucked away in the woods here in the northwest. Maybe it has to do with how many events we have, or our awesome back roads?

Drift Circuit at Coronado 2009!

Speed Festival came around once again and this year Drift Circuit came with it. Drift Circuit has been attending these events for the past couple years and this year I was lucky enough to have Media Access. Today was Media day and while all the other Media were there for everything else, I was the only one there solely for the drifters.Throughout their runs today there were only a few casualties: Cody Parkhouse’s 240SX caught on fire during one of the morning runs putting him out for the rest of the weekend. At the end of the day, Luke’s car suffered a blown tire putting him out for the rest of the day. Other injuries were oil leaks and running out of fuel.

Formula D Rd 5 Aftermath

So recently the Formula Drift circuit took it’s yearly pit stop in the pacific northwest to lay down some rubber at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe,WA. Alot of drivers say this is their favorite track because of the insane entry speeds and super high banked corner. unluckily for them however, the track doesn’t like everyone back. several cars bit the dust including veteran driver Dai Yoshiara in his IS350; Which took a beating and ripped off most of the left side of his car.

anyways, in a nutshell this year was awesome! It gave some of our local drivers here in the northwest a chance at getting some well due national spotlight. Also, ton of fans showed up to support the northwest drifting culture and i can’t wait to see what’s ahead for next year. I’ll also include a link below to a thread that Erik from over at nwtuner.com created to show off some of his awesome photography skills. Thanks for reading!

Wilkerson and Shreeve Cut It Up @ Round 5

Monroe, WA – Formula Drift Round 5 “The Breaking Point” brought thousands of spectators. The Pro’s danced flawlessly across Evergreen Speedway’s 5/8ths “big boy’s” bank. During Formula Drift weekend, our locals stuck it out during ProAm. Many media folk raised their camera’s when they saw the amateur drivers hyping up Evergreen’s grand stands. Thousands cheered our locals on, and two videographers were their to capture the moment.
